Installation Instructions - WindowTRIM™

Tools needed for installation:

Hammer
Level
Bond&Fill™ FLEX (available from your building materials dealer)

Installation Steps:

1. Take the TrimCLIPs™ and slip them into the grooves on the WindowTRIM head and sides, (see diagram on back for clip location)
2. Place WindowTRIM™ around window unit, level and align leaving an even reveal on all sides of the window unit, nail the TrimCLIP with the nails provided. Rectangular units with the Standard Face Mount Pediment will come with a FlashClip installed as a standard option, nail through the holes in the FlashCLIP in the same manner as the TrimCLIPS.
3. Special “J” Channel Instructions: All rectangular trimkits with “J” channel come with a FlashClip installed and TrimSeal as a standard option. The TrimSEAL is a PVC trimkit weather stripping that is self-adhering. TrimSEAL is applied to the back of the side casing, to apply pre-cut to length, peel backing off of adhesive strip and apply to back of trim aligning the edge of the adhesive strip up with the edge of the relief, approximately 2” in from the outside of the casing.
4. Optional Accessory Instructions: If using the FlashCLIP™, continuous head clip and flashing, apply Bond&Fill™ FLEX in the groove on the head casing and insert the FlashCLIP™, being certain that it is flush with the trim when installed. Continue your installation as indicated
   in Step 2.
5. After the trim unit is securely installed fill the space between the WindowTRIM™ and the window with Bond&Fill™ FLEX following the instructions on the Bond&Fill™ package. For additional information on Bond&Fill products visit: www.bondfill.com
6. Clean any dirt marks or Bond&Fill FLEX residue from your trim using soap and water or a
   mild detergent.
7. While you new WindowTRIM™ does not require painting, we recommend painting with a high quality 100% acrylic latex to keep the trim clean and fresh looking for years to come.
