Installation Instructions - RakeTRIM™

1. Measure the length of the rake and cut RakeTRIM to the desired length and the desired pitch at the peak.
2. Apply construction adhesive to the strapping on the gable end, place you RakeTRIM in place and fasten through the RakeTRIM where the shadow board and rake board meet applying stainless steel or galvanized fasteners at an angle.
3. If the rake requires additional length, measure and cut the length needed, prepare both ends of the RakeTRIM for joining with a #20 plastic biscuit. Using Bond&Fill apply the biscuit and place Bond&Fill on the butt end of the RakeTRIM and join the two pieces together, fasten the additional RakeTRIM as indicated in step 2.
4. After the RakeTRIM is installed run a bead of Bond&Fill the length of the rake where the shadow board meets the rake board and smooth with finger or tool, this will cover any fastener holes.
5. Trim end of RakeTrim to desired length and pitch.
6. Clean any dirt marks from your trim using a mild detergent or lightly sand with a fine grits
   and paper.
7. While your new RakeTRIM™ does not require painting, we recommend painting with a high quality 100% acrylic latex to keep the trim clean and fresh looking for years to come.
