Installation Instructions - ColumnWRAP™
5 Easy Steps
Included with this ColumnWRAP is a Bond & Fill Caulking Gun Adapter,
one, 1.6 oz. cartridge of Bond & Fill, 2---applicator nozzles, Velcro Straps,
8 trimhead screws, 8, 4" x 3" spacer blocks
Tools needed for installation:
Hammer
Screwgun
Level
Saw
Installation Steps:
| 1. Measure the height of the post to be enclosed and cut your ColumnWRAP ¼" less than your measurement. |

|
| 2. Measure and cut spacer blocks to take up excess space between the wrap and the post. Fasten spacer blocks at the top and bottom of the post with galvanized or stainless steel fasteners. |

|
| 3. Place the cut end of the wrap towards the top of your post; slide the wrap around the post, shim up from the bottom ¼". Securely fasten on three sides with the fasteners provided. |

|
| 4. Using the standard caulking gun adapter and Bond & Fill adhesive (supplied), apply a 1/8" to ¼" bead of adhesive in the two miter joints as deeply as possible into the joint as shown on the accompanying illustration. |

|
| 5. Once the adhesive has been put in place slowly close the panel, allowing the Bond & Fill to seep through the miter joint. Reminder: Bond & Fill will set-up in about 10 minutes, making it necessary to work each column wrap to completion quickly once adhesive is applied. Place the Velcro straps around the wrap to "clamp" the wrap in place until the adhesive cures. After approximately 15 minutes remove the Velcro straps and using a 150 or 200 grit sandpaper remove any excess adhesive from the bonded edge. |

|
Option: If you purchased the cap & base apply around the wrap and repeat steps 4 and 5
Helpful Hints
Clean any dirt marks from your trim using a mild detergent or lightly sand with a fine grit sandpaper.
While your new ColumnWRAPT does not require painting, we recommend painting with a high quality 100% acrylic latex to keep the trim clean and fresh looking for years to come.
