Installation Instructions - ColumnTRIM™

Note: This ColumnTRIM is non-structural and is
designed to enclose a load-bearing post or to be used
in non-load bearing applications only.

Tools needed for installation:
Hammer
Screwgun
Level
Saw
Trimhead Screws (8 included)
Bond & Fill™Structural Adhesive & Filler (available at your local lumberyard/home center) For additional information on Bond&Fill visit: www.bondfill.com

Installation Steps:

Measure the height of the post to be enclosed and trim your Column to the desired length if necessary.
Slide your ColumnTRIM over your post, (Note: If you purchased the decorative cap and base set slide each over your ColumnTRIM at this time.) level and plumb, shim inside if necessary,
Using the trimhead screws provided, screw through the column into you post approximately 3"-4" from the top and bottom.
If applicable, slide your cap and base into place, fasten and apply Bond & Fill where the cap/base meet the column.
Clean any dirt marks from your trim using a mild detergent or lightly sand with a fine grit sandpaper.
While your new ColumnTRIM™ does not require painting, we recommend painting with a high quality 100% acrylic latex to keep the trim clean and fresh looking for years to come.
